Art Ministry
A team of artists made up of various members of River Community Church, who are gifted artistically and prophetically. We believe that God speaks to us through many different ways, including art. The art ministry’s goal is to uplift and encourage the body of believers and reach others with our artwork and the good news of the Gospel!
Sammie painted the Hourglass and shared:
Wait for the LORD;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the LORD!
Psalm 27:14
Some things are easier to wait for, such as waiting in line. For some things, there isn’t much that we can do on our own to make things change and have the waiting end.
That is when we hope and pray and trust God for the things that are in His hands and that only He can do.

Music
“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.” – Colossians 3:16 NIV
We have live worship music every Sunday. Our musicians play Contemporary Christian music. The band is made up of people who are passionate for Christ and sharing the gifts that God has given them with Him and those around them.
For more information contact Austin and Hanna Perrault.
Sound & Media
Sound Team
They handle audio production and any recordings for church services. Audio technicians work together with the musicians to create the best possible worship experience. Stagehands assist with setting up and facilitating musical productions.
For more information contact Enrique Colon & Eric Odhiambo.
Media Team
They augment the Sunday Morning worship experience with song lyrics, motion video, live camera feeds and/or lighting. Working at the visual media booth is a combination of technical skill and artistic expression; visual media volunteers have a huge impact on the immersive worship experience.

Hospitality
Coffee Bar
“Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” – Hebrews 13:2 NIV
On Sunday mornings the coffee bar is the center of conversation, laughs, smiles, and a warm “Hello,” for the congregation. A pleasant smile and a hot cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate can be an invaluable gift to a new visitor.

Ushers & Greeters
“Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.” – 1 Peter 4:9 NIV
When a visitor attends the church, the first person they meet will probably be a Greeter or an Usher. Ushers & Greeters are the face of River Community Church, its first impression. They are crucially important for keeping things running smoothly on a Sunday morning.

Meals
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in;” – Matthew 25:35 NIV
The Meals Ministry exists to provide hot meals for people in extraordinary circumstances—new parents, people recovering from illness or injury, or people grieving over the loss of a loved one. Recipients of meals don’t need to be members of River Community Church. Preparing or delivering meals to families in need is a great way to show the love of Jesus.

River Kids!
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” – Proverbs 22:6 NIV
This fall, kids will be learning about the Fruits of the Spirit and memorizing Galatians 5:22-23, “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!”

Small Groups
ALPHA
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” – Matthew 7:7 NIV
Alpha is an 11-week series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each weekly talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: a meal together, a talk and good conversation. For more information, contact Tom Dick.

Pray for Ukraine & USA
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. – 1 Timothy 2:1-2 NIV
Our hearts are for our brothers and sisters whether they are close to home or far away. Please join Carmella & Charissa from 9am -10am for this special time of prayer for Ukraine and America.
